Christmas 2009

The lover and I had a wonderful, but very busy Christmas this year!
We started it off with Christmas Eve at my Dad's. It was great, except for extremely missing my Mamaw and Grandad this year. We all tried to make the best of it, and between the tears starting to well up in my eyes, Gage would make me laugh hysterically! I received some wonderful gifts...including a digital picture frame, a cupcake baking set, some awesome baking pans, clothes and more!!!! We ate appetizer food.....meatballs, cheese and crackers, sandwiches and tons of other stuff!
On Christmas morning we headed over to Dustin's mom's house for breakfast with his siblings. Diana made us a wonderful breakfast of eggs, sausage, potato casserole, biscuits and gravy and pankcakes! It was delicious. We recieved a new coffee pot, some gift cards and more!
After breakfast, we headed home to load up for our road trip. We than headed to Terre Haute to my moms house. We had a traditional Christmas dinner including ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. I made a new green bean recipe that I found courtesy of Life Of A Savannah wife! They were yummy!!!! After dinner we opened gifts........mine included black clothes for school, a new school bag, a Willowtree, and more. We stayed up playing games as long as we could, but we knew we had a long day ahead of us and went to bed pretty early.
On Saturday we woke up, reloaded the truck........after scraping all the snow off of it that had fallen during the night and headed out on our long drive to West Virginia. It was Barley's first road trip, and we were nervous to see how she would do. The first hour was a little rough, we stopped 3 times because we couldn't figure out if she needed to go potty or was just being restless. After the 3rd stop and a much needed potty, we were off. From then on the only time she got restless was when she did need to potty. She was so sweet sleeping in between us the entire time. We made it on good time and were greeted by a huge crowd...Dustin's step mom was having her family Christmas so we got to meet everyone. It was a little crazy, I was still in my traveling sweats and looked awful. We spent 5 days with them...and enjoyed it very much. They run a bed and breakfast with an indoor pool, so it is like staying at a hotel! We played games, ate ALOT, swam and just enjoyed catching up! The trip home went great and we made a couple stops for amish cheese and homemade candles. I love taking road trips, but it was nice to be home and relax...though that part was short lived because it was time to get everything ready for our NYE get together....................

I will be posting pictures asap!!!!
